2023 International Indigenous Tourism Conference: Adventure to Understanding

The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) is seeking speakers for the upcoming 2023 International Indigenous Tourism Conference: Adventure to Understanding taking place in Winnipeg, Manitoba March 8 - 10, 2023


ABOUT
IITC will bring together over 1000 people from across Turtle Island to discuss the Indigenous tourism industry, share their experiences and meet other Indigenous tourism professionals from around the world.

THEME
The conference theme is Adventure to Understanding, a call to action for visitors to experience a rich tapestry of Indigenous tourism — through enriching stories, connection to place and Indigenous hospitality. This year, the conference will also honour Orange Shirt Day on September 30th, opening the door for a conversation about residential schools and reconciliation.

AUDIENCE
Attendees of IITC come from across both Canada and countries internationally. Their backgrounds are tourism operators, business owners, travel agencies, and many more.

We are seeking individuals with experience and knowledge in the Indigenous Tourism Industry who can share their expertise during the 2-day conference. The theme is Adventure to Understanding, and we are accepting applications in the following session tracks. If you have something to share to those just starting out in this industry, wanting to hear how others have grown and excelled, or want to share best practices, we want to hear from you.

All applications will be reviewed, and only those selected will be contacted.

Speakers commit to attending in person. There is no honorarium or speaker fees for participating at this conference.

Submission Deadline: November 30, 2022
