Welcome to the 2023 Arizona APCO/NENA State Training Conference! Being held at the Tempe Marriott at the Buttes July 10th - 14th, 2023. The State Training Conference will bring line level call takers and dispatchers, shift supervisors, managers, directors, and 9-1-1 communications I.T. personnel together for a full week of sessions, demos, and exhibitions. Meet and hear from industry experts and peers as they discuss current trending topics in the 9-1-1 profession and attend the states largest vendor exhibit hall where you will have a chance to see all the latest technology, hardware, and software out there!

Presenting at the State Training Conference offers a great pathway for professional development. Presenters get to meet like-minded people such as yourself, get a chance to ‘talk-shop’ with people who do what you do, and offers a chance to share experience/knowledge.

We actively encourage people who have never presented at a conference to submit their proposal. Presenting at a state conference is a great way to practice your presentation skills, establish credibility in the PSAP community, and introduce yourself to others in the sector. It is also a great way to meet new people and establish contacts for future knowledge-sharing and collaborations.

We invite all parties having experience and expertise in the Public Safety Communications field to submit a proposal to this Call-for-Papers.

Once you apply, you will go through a review process, and if your proposal is accepted, you and any co-speakers will be invited to speak and will be given access to your own private speaker portals. review criteria include: Target audience, biography of presenter – including qualifications & speaking experience, title and description of presentation, presentation format (classroom, roundtable, panel). 

Presentations should be no longer than 1 hour, and no less than 45 minutes in length. Opportunities will be available for multi-part sessions, if needed. Presenters will receive a complimentary 'Main Conference' registration, however they will be responsible for any and all travel related expenses and meals not included with the registration.
