ARUCC & PCCAT Conference 2024

ARUCC, PCCAT, and WARUCC invite you to share your expertise with our community and submit an in-person presentation proposal for our 2024 Conference in Calgary, Alberta June 23-26th.

THEME: CHARTING THE WAY FORWARD: EXPLORING NEW PATHS TO SUCCESS
Our work in higher education is fast-paced and ever changing. Exploring innovative approaches to solving problems and achieving goals is more critical than ever. With a ‘build, learn, iterate’ outlook on continuous improvement and change, institutions are increasingly forging new paths to success to achieve EDI, transfer mobility, enrolment and student success goals.
Examples of session topics we would like to receive include:
- AI solutions at work
- Strategic enrolment management
- Transitions from traditional systems and technology
- Communities of practice, communication networks, competency-based pathways
- Institutional/regional/national partnerships to facilitate credit transfer and learner mobility
- System data, technology and tools and learner access to information to support pathways & mobility
- Research and/or cross-institutional initiatives on current registrarial issues, such as micro-credentials & credential recognition
- Change as a positive impact
- Creativity in soft skills development for teams
- Innovation in equity, diversity and inclusion
- Collaboration on inter- and intra-provincial pathways and partnerships
- Competency development to support change
- Any topic relevant to the work of our members
Please read the proposal and submission guidelines thoroughly before developing and submitting your session proposal. The ARUCC PCCAT Program Sub-committee will accept proposals that achieve balance across the Conference program on a range of topics and perspectives that represent the depth and breadth of ARUCC’s and PCCAT’s membership, emerging issues, regional and national interests, and institutional demographics.
Session Types and Duration:
Sessions are 55 minutes each including a 10 minute question and answer session
Presentation formats include breakout sessions, panels and roundtables.
Proposal Guidelines:
- We are accepting proposals for in-person presentations.
- Sessions organized jointly with partners are particularly welcome; corporate members must partner with institutional or organization members on session submissions.
- Maximum of 5 speakers and 1 moderator in any session
- Presenters’ names, titles, and organizations will be used to promote the session.
- Submitting authors certify that all co-authors have reviewed the proposal and agree to participate if accepted.
- Please write your abstract in the present tense.
- You may save your submission and return to make edits by logging back into website with your credentials.
- You will only be able to edit your proposal up until the submission deadline of January 19, 2024.
- Keep a copy of your proposal.
- Deadline for proposal submissions is January 19, 2024 at 11:59 EST.
- Proposal submitters will be notified of proposal selection during February, 2024.
- If your proposal is selected, you agree to provide your session in-person at the 2024 conference, and that you will register on/before the speaker registration deadline.
Conference costs:
- If you wish to join us for a single day during the conference at the membership rate of $500.00 plus 5% GST will be applicable,
- If you wish to join us for the duration of the conference the membership rate of $800.00 plus 5% GST will be applicable.
- If you only wish to join us for your session - there will be no additional fee charged.
