Our theme this year is brought to you thanks to several requests from members through feedback surveys.  We couldn’t agree more that recent years have seen a significant shift in our industry.  It seems like we’ve gone from squeezed budgets and pleading our cases, to struggling to find the time and resources to fulfill the demand.  The changing social and regulatory climate have spurred a significant influx into the industry, and we have all evolved in response to meet the ever-changing landscape.

To satisfy this years’ theme, ‘Growth, Innovation and Constant Evolution’, we are seeking abstracts for technical presentations on topics such as:

• Partnerships and collaboration to meet fast-paced industry needs, especially despite a shortage of professionals.
• Emerging technology with respect to various soils/vegetation and reclamation assessment, data collection, and field equipment we use, including heavy equipment.
• Traditional Indigenous viewpoints and knowledge contributions to improved project end results and environmental understanding.
• Evolving planning and approaches to meet expectations while maintaining quality and professional standards.
• What learnings between industries have been valuable and need to be more widely communicated (mining, oil and gas, commercial, forestry, renewable energy, etc.)?
• What you have learned from interesting projects: failures and successes, adapting to changes from office plan to field execution, and tackling issues with a unique approach and perspective? 

All submissions are reviewed by our Abstract Review Committee (a minimum of three independent reviewers per abstract) and evaluated for:

• Appropriateness for the Theme
• Importance of the Work to Members
• Completeness and Validity of the Work
• Originality
