Welcome to the Action Hour Application!

Applications are due December 15th at 11:59 pm PST.

The Youth Action Hour is NYEC's mini-grant program for young leaders (ages 16-24) with businesses, programs, or other projects that are positively affecting their communities. We will select 5 winners to receive a small grant to help start, maintain, or expand their project. The winners will also virtually present their ideas to the audience at the 2024 Annual Forum. This year, we expect around 400 folks to be there! The audience will vote for one Action Hour participant to receive an additional grant! This is a great opportunity to raise awareness, make connections, and earn some funds for your project!

You can start your application and come back to edit at any time before submitting. Please ensure your answers are clear and complete. This is your chance to sell us on your idea/project/business!

This year, the 5 winners will be required to create and record a presentation about their project (don't worry, we will help you with this). Your recorded presentations will be presented to the Forum audience on March 5th. All participants will be required to join a live Q & A session (on Zoom) on March 5th after the videos are shown. The audience will have time to submit final votes after the Q & A and the winner will be announced on March 6th.

Please sign up for one of our Action Hour Info Meetings for tips about submitting a great application. This will also be a time to ask any questions you may have. These meetings are optional, but highly recommended!
