Riham came to the US in 1984 with her husband. They later spent time in Indonesia, South Korea, and Russia; then moved back to Houston in 2001. She started working with Iraqi refugees as an Interpreter for Catholic Charities, and later donated her time when the Syrian refugees started to come.
