Mahin Ansari

Lead Attorney-Project Coordinator, Catholic Charities of Galveston-Houston

Mahin A. Ansari is the Lead Attorney-Project Coordinator of the Humanitarian Assistance Program for Catholic Charities of Galveston-Houston’s Cabrini Center. She also serves as the program’s pro bono and contract attorney mentor for attorneys representing clients in Asylum and Special Immigrant Visa applications. Mahin has experience using a trauma-informed and client-centered approach when representing vulnerable populations for their Asylum, SIV, Adjustment of Status, Naturalization, TPS, VAWA, U-Visa, and T-Visa applications. Mahin also has experience working on a variety of other immigration matters such as EB-2 National Interest Waivers, E-2 Treaty Visas, and J-1 Waivers. Prior to joining the Cabrini Center, Mahin served as the Association of Women Attorneys Foundation Fellow at the Tahirih Justice Center in Houston. She is a proud graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Mahin is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Texas. She is also a Licensed Social Worker and Certified Sign Language Interpreter.
