Do you have the knowledge, skills, and tools to assist HR professionals as they respond to the current challenges of the “new normal”? Then we want to hear from you!

The CPHR Alberta Annual Conference will be held on Tuesday September 27th, 2022, and we are seeking innovative and influential individuals to deliver original, unique, and thought-provoking content both virtually or in-person.

Over the past two years we have had the opportunity to adapt and learn in new ways. At the CPHR Alberta Annual Conference, we will host one central event with two different, yet, connected experiences. CPHR Alberta will host its very first hybrid style annual conference.

The focus this year will be on current challenges faced by HR professionals amidst the new normal and how their HR strategy plays a crucial role in keeping employees informed, engaged and ready for the future.

We are looking for topic experts to give a 60-minute concurrent session to the HR professional within a variety of sectors at multiple levels. Our goal is to address current and emerging trends that align with our new competency framework. This framework includes 2 categories of competencies: HR Specific Competencies and General Competencies.

Applications Tips
This conference will be a hybrid event. Please ensure that you select if you will be presenting virtually or in-person in Calgary. Speakers must have experience in presenting in their choice presentation style.

  • Be the subject matter expert and be able to mold your presentation to the current state of HR in September. (We require you to be fluid with the changing world of work to ensure the content you deliver is relevant and timely).
  • Write a compelling session description that demonstrates how the topic will connect with our audience. content should be engaging, innovative and informative.
  • Be specific and stand out. Show that you are the authority to present on the topic. We are looking at the competencies and how it aligns with our theme of engagement. The foundation of the presentation and drawing in the current challenges that the HR community is facing. Avoid generic language and focus on what is unique about the proposed topic.
  • Incorporate case studies and build in time to discuss examples. Provide attendees with the opportunity to learn from each other.
  • Outline the ‘how.’ Attendees want insider information and tangible takeaways, including step-by-step actions to put into practice when they return to the office.
  • Include any links to videos, resources, or examples that provide more information about your speaking style and experience.
  • Indicate if you prefer to present in person or virtual

Please note that we do not pay for our speakers, nor do we cover travel or accommodation costs should you decide to present live.
