The 2024 SPE International Polyolefins Conference will be held in Galveston, TX February 18 – 21^st. The SPE South Texas Section, in collaboration with multiple SPE Divisions is organizing talks to cover topics in polymer modifiers and additives, flexible packaging, elastomers, engineering properties, rigid packaging and converter technologies, thermoplastic materials and foams, catalysis, infrastructure, applied rheology, characterization, and pipe applications.

Within these broad topics, organizers are crafting sessions to cover the following themes:

• 3D Printing
• Polyolefin composites
• Polyolefins in extreme applications- aerospace, defense, energy
• PE Pipe
• Polyolefin elastomers
• Automotive applications- impact modifiers, EVs, and lightweighting
• Regulatory dynamics – sustainable materials, recycling, and additives
• Polyolefins in solar and wind energy
• Other

Speakers should submit abstracts through the submission site link below. Accepted speakers will be notified in November, at which time you will be asked to prepare and share a PowerPoint slide deck, or .pdf, of your talk in January. Additionally, we are requesting a video recording to supplement the online slides in order to add context for virtual attendees. Speakers should plan for a talk that lasts 30 minutes, and includes enough time for Q&A.

 All speakers receive free registration for the conference.

The 2024 International Polyolefins Conference will be an in-person event with a virtual component containing recorded talks and slides made available to watch on demand. We are excited to continue the legacy of impactful plenary speakers while expanding the number of talks in our technical program. This year we are expanding to include 25 sessions and 150 speakers from Monday morning (February 19) to lunchtime on Wednesday (February 21). With nearly 1000 attendees at last year’s hybrid conference, expanding the technical program will allow for engagement on a broader range of topics reaching more professionals in the Polyolefins industry.
