The 35th annual SMRA International Conference will be held in Sendai, Japan from Tuesday, October 17th to Friday, October 20th, 2023. The focus of this year’s conference will be "Exploring the world and the culture of MRA".

The 2023 conference will feature sessions that focus on the continuing explosion of new MRA techniques and contrast media and their impact on patient management. As always, the SMRA Annual International Conference will showcase cutting-edge MRA research and stimulate rapid clinical translation. Topics covered will include advanced MRA techniques for the brain, heart, abdomen, and extremities, as well as 4D flow imaging, contrast agents, vessel wall and thrombus imaging, interventional MRI, deep learning, and clinical study design.

We will continue with last year’s conference format featuring the educational component blended into the main plenary sessions. This ensures value for both seasoned delegates and those who are "newcomers" to the field.

Scientific Abstracts and Educational Exhibits are both welcome as submissions for inclusion in the abstract book.

We also are including Mentor/Mentee submission format to highlight successful mentor/mentee relationships. Submit a short 100-400 word description of your topic if you and your mentor are interested in presenting either a/an

  1. mock thesis/viva defense (technical/basic science) or
  2. unknown clinical case presentation (clinical)

Mentor/mentee submissions will be used to select presenters and will not be included in the abstract book.
