For over half his life, Will Pruett has worked backstage. Originally fascinated by the sheer number of buttons on audio and lighting consoles, Will now works as Pacific Symphony’s live video director, shooting a mix of Pops, Family, Organ, Classical, and other concerts all year long, using a switcher with a more than adequate number of buttons.

Originally a theatrical stage manager, Will received his MFA in Stage Management from University of California, Irvine in 2012. At the same time, he started working as a stage manager for Pacific Symphony. In 2015 Will started splitting his time between stage managing and learning live video production.

In 2019 Will became Pacific Symphony’s Director of Multimedia Operations and now oversees digital concerts, live orchestra image magnification, and Pacific Symphony’s digital performance archive.
