ASLE Virtual Registration Waiver Application
2023 Conference: Reclaiming the Commons

Ten (10) registration waivers will be granted to virtual presenters.

Deadline to Apply: March 22, 2023

Purpose: The purpose of the waivers is to make it more possible for 2023 virtual presenters who lack institutional funding and are in precarious employment, students, and/or reside internationally to present their work. 

Eligibility requires that an applicant:

• has an official role to play at the conference (in order of priority: presenting an accepted paper or reading, participating in a virtual pre-conference workshop, chairing a panel)
• demonstrates financial need
• preference will be given to applicants of international, student, independent, or contingent/adjunct status

To apply, please fill out the form below. The following items will be required:

• Your current professional status, professional affiliation (if applicable), and type and title of your presentation, workshop, or panel.
• Status of your submission (has it been formally accepted?)
• An explanation (150 words maximum) of why you are in need of a registration waiver, and whether you expect to receive funding for registration fees from other sources.

You will be notified of decisions on the waiver by April 16, 2023.
