Welcome to the 2023 CVMA Convention Speaker Portal

The CVMA invites dynamic and engaging speakers who can contribute a minimum of a half-day of content (three, 50-minute speaking slots) OR a full-day (six, 50-minute speaking slots) to submit an abstract. The CVMA encourages submission of interactive sessions, small group learning/workshops to engage with the audience. 

About the CVMA Convention
The annual CVMA Convention offers comprehensive education for veterinarians and veterinary technicians with a focus on best medicine practice and timely topics for the following species:
- small animals and exotics, food animals, equine, small ruminant, animal welfare, business management and professional wellness

2021 CVMA Convention attendees indicated their top 5 topics:  

• DEI within the Practice
• RVT Retention
• Business Management - The Basics (hiring, finances)
• Social Media
• Telemedicine

Application Process:
Please complete the application process following the "start application" below. You will be asked the following: 

• Basic profile to start the process
• Proposed session details (title, description, learning objectives, presentation format, session audience, and any co-presenters)
• Upload any relevant documents to support your application (overview of session)
• Past speaking experience
• Detailed speaker profile (photo, short bio)

Once the application is complete, you will receive a confirmation email and link to your speaker portal where you can review the status of your application.

Decisions:
Abtracts will be reviewed by the CVMA Professional Development Committee, and will contact you with the committee's decisions by early April 2022.
