WiN Canada is honoured to host the 28^th Annual WiN Global Conference, which will be held from October 17-21, 2021 with the theme Positively Charged for Success. This is the first time in almost 16 years that the conference has been hosted in Canada.

WiN Conferences, both at the national and international level, are places to celebrate and promote diversity: all gender expressions are encouraged to attend (including men). We believe diversity makes the industry better.

Previous attendees at WiN Global Conference have come from all over the world – from Bangladesh and Brazil to China and the United Kingdom. We expect to attract women from over 30 countries to this Conference, in addition to the traditional Canadian audience of the WiN Canada Conference, including both current and future decision makers in the global nuclear industry.

Virtual Conference Update

Women in Nuclear Canada has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation here in Canada and around the world. With just over six months until the Conference date in Niagara Falls, the Women in Nuclear Canada Board of Directors has made the decision to turn this year’s Global Conference into a strictly virtual event to ensure the safety of our Conference participants. 

This decision was not one we took lightly. After a year of Zoom meetings and virtual events, we were very much looking forward to making the Women in Nuclear Global Conference one of the first in-person events many of us would attend in more than a year. We wanted our feet to hurt at the end of each Conference day! Regardless of the change to a virtual conference, we intend to make this conference the absolute best virtual conference you have ever attended!  We have the best creative minds on our team to ensure this will be an amazing experience for all participants around the world.

However, the COVID-19 global situation is still unknown as to how things will unfold leading up to the Conference dates in October, as well as what international travel will be permitted then. Also, we want to ensure there is an opportunity for every WiNer, from every country, the opportunity to participate in this Conference. We  needed to decide on the Conference structure so that you could plan accordingly. 

The Conference is still planned for October 17-21, 2021
